Fabrication Services
ECS Engineering Services is an expert in steel fabrication. With a purpose-built fabrication workshop encompassing 50,000 sq ft and with a craneage capacity of 20t we can handle the largest of fabrications, while retaining a high capacity for volume fabrication and a responsiveness to deliver a reactive service where required. Our management systems are fully underpinned by our ISO 9001 accreditations and with CE Marking approval to EXC3 we offer all our clients a level of dependability you would expect from an organisation with our experience.
Structural Steelwork
We offer a full design and build install package for structural steelwork projects, but also specialise in offering our fabrication services to larger steel contractors requiring additional capacity, or where our skills can offer value to their projects. CNC saw/drill lines, punches and plasma cutters augment our offer with the precision and accuracy afforded by this equipment. NSSS5 and ISO 1090 EXC3 standards are adopted throughout all our processes.
Heavy Fabrication
Composite beams, heavy plate work, node structures and large fabrications are undertaken with meticulous attention to detail. Our experience is diverse, from 25t lintels for underground railway structures to building nodes from 150mm platework with welding to suit, all of which is certified to BSEN ISO 3834.
Secondary Steelwork
Although we have invested in CNC machinery, much of our fabrication still relies on our skilled platers and welders and we specialise in the more intricate secondary metalwork allied to bigger projects, including facades, lean-to units and canopies.
Access Metalwork
When allied to our in-house 3D design capabilities, our ability to fabricate any permutation of access metalwork is unsurpassed. From industrial access structures and platforms to complex feature staircases complete with all necessary supporting structure and handrail or balustrade is unsurpassed. A full survey and installation service can be rolled into the package if required.
Chutes & Hoppers
Our company was founded on a capacity to supply the mineral processing industry with a wide range of process fabrications extending into a large portfolio of hoppers, chutes, lobster-back sections and conveying structures. We have recently applied this knowledge to the power generation industry. Our fabrications can be lined in a wide range of materials such as Hardox, Abro or stainless steel. A relining service for existing hoppers is available.
Bespoke Fabrication
We don’t shy away from the unusual and our skills demonstrated in the portfolio above are adaptable enough to apply to some unique fabrications. From excavator grabs to elevator buckets, cable car supports to windmill blades....there’s a very good chance that if it needs building, then ECS are your partner of choice for fabricating it...Add our 3D modelling service in Solidworks and we can even help you design your product and make sure it functions correctly while still on the “drawing board”.
Site Remedials
If you need a modification, extension or adaptation to any existing structure, then our experienced site teams have the right skills to ensure that this work is undertaken in a timely manner and with the right standards of health and safety performance to ensure your project goes without a hitch.
Our Design Services encompass a wide choice of options, including initial feasibility studies, detailed working drawings, and complete project design. Our skilled designers and draughtsmen use Autocad 2005 with the additional capability of 3D solid modelling which ensures speed, flexibility and accuracy. Draughtsmen are also available on a contract basis, carefully matched to our clients’ requirements.
